The Production Team Coordinator Machining coordinates and manages the operational activities within the Machining production area to ensure timely, high-quality, and cost-efficient manufacturing. The role ensures the optimal deployment of employees, machines, and resources while continuously improving processes, safety, and productivity within the area of responsibility.
Tasks
- Act as deputy for the Team Leader during absences and ensure smooth production operations.
- Coordinate and monitor daily production activities within the milling area.
- Ensure production targets are met in terms of quality, cost, on-time delivery, and occupational safety.
- Plan and manage workforce deployment based on capacity requirements and employee qualifications.
- Provide functional leadership, support, and development to employees within the area of responsibility.
- Monitor and continuously optimize manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with work instructions, quality standards, safety regulations, and 5S guidelines.
- Analyze production KPIs and initiate and follow up on appropriate improvement measures.
- Support the introduction of new products, processes, and manufacturing technologies.
- Collaborate closely with Production Planning, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and other relevant functions.
- Manage escalations related to production deviations and coordinate immediate and corrective actions.
Requirements
- Very good written and spoken German; basic English skills for collaboration in an international environment.
- Completed technical vocational training as a Polymechaniker EFZ or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in an industrial production environment, preferably in CNC milling.
- Experience coordinating production teams or working in a comparable leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing and production processes in CNC milling.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement processes, and relevant production KPIs.
- Good knowledge of occupational safety, quality, and process stability.
- Experience working with ERP systems, preferably D365, as well as good Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, combined with good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Structured, independent, and resilient working style with strong teamwork and organizational skills.
