Tasks

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services using Java (Spring Boot) and Python for index calculation and data processing platforms.
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of features, ensuring timely delivery and meeting quality expectations.
  • Take technical ownership of complex components and features, from solution design and implementation through testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Collaborate with SRE teams to ensure systems are reliable and production-ready, contributing to improvements where needed.
  • Drive architecture and engineering decisions to improve scalability, performance, and maintainability.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on software engineering expertise with Java (Spring Boot) and Python, including building, testing, deploying, and supporting production services.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems and make sound architecture and engineering decisions in production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of backend and distributed system design, including scalability, resilience, performance, observability, and maintainable integration patterns.
  • Experience using modern engineering tooling and AI-assisted development to improve productivity and code quality.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience in building and operating production systems.
  • Fluent English communication skills; German is a plus.
