Join our team as a Software Tester within RMD System Development, contributing to the integration and verification of complex diagnostics systems. Ideal for candidates with technical or life sciences backgrounds and experience in diagnostic system development.

Tasks

  • Plan and execute work packages within the area of responsibility, including reporting and escalation of issues to management.
  • Set up automated testing environments and use data analysis tools to provide statistical data to management.
  • Use network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, and SSL) and work with gateways, firewalls, and remote access.
  • Act as subject matter expert for communications protocols between instruments and laboratory information systems (LIS).
  • Provide guidance and support to others and transfer knowledge to different tasks or subprojects within System Development.
  • Design and execute experiments in the lab.
  • Create test cases based on product requirements.
  • Execute test cases, analyze results, and create respective regulatory documents.
  • Track issues and verify bug fixes or anomalies.
  • Generate required documentation, procedures, and technical reports in support of daily activities, and author official documents in English (e.g., Design History Files) for milestone preparation.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations of project results to own or other groups.
  • Coordinate efforts with other functional areas such as hardware, software, consumables, assay, and algorithm development.

Requirements

  • Degree in a technical or life sciences discipline (e.g., Software or Electrical Engineering, Electronic/Automation, Bio- and Process-Engineering) or related job experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of work experience in the development of diagnostic systems in a System Development or related field.
  • Ability to work independently, handling cross-departmental development tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English and German.
  • Strong analytical and interdisciplinary thinking.
  • Experience in statistical data analysis.
  • Experience in and willingness to work in a highly regulated industry and labs with biosafety levels S1 and S2.
