We are looking for an experienced and agile Head of Insurance to shape how Richemont manages risk in an increasingly dynamic global environment. As Head of Insurance, you will provide strategic leadership across our Group non-life insurance portfolio, acting as a true business partner to senior leaders to protect our people, assets, and balance sheets, while enabling sustainable growth.

This is a distinctive hands-on leadership role where you will define the strategic direction of the function and advise senior leadership, while remaining closely involved in execution.

Tasks

  • Shape and execute the Group’s non-life insurance and risk strategy, ensuring it evolves alongside business priorities and risk profile.
  • Act as an internal entrepreneur, understanding insurance as a critical component of risk financing.
  • Partner closely with senior leaders across the organization, providing commercially pragmatic insurance advice that supports strategic initiatives, operational resilience, and informed decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships with Maisons and act as an ambassador for the insurance function.
  • Lead the design, placement, and governance of Group’s non-life insurance programs, including captive strategy, insurer and broker relationships, and effective claims oversight.
  • Foster innovation and embrace new approaches, including automation and AI, to improve processes.
  • Continuously enhance the effectiveness of the insurance function by leveraging data, technology, and process improvements to optimize the Group's total cost of risk.
  • Provide strategic insight to the Group Treasurer and Treasury Leadership Team on emerging risks, market developments, and opportunities to strengthen the Group's financial resilience.
  • Foster a culture of partnership, accountability, and continuous improvement while leading, developing, and inspiring a high-performing global insurance team.
  • Ensure the team has the space to grow, supported by trust and confidence.

  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
  • Digitally savvy and strong interest in new technology use and automation.
  • Unquestioned personal integrity with strong ethics and values consistent with company culture.
  • Ability to stand firm on difficult issues when required.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Law.
  • Minimum of 15 years of corporate insurance experience, preferably gained through a variety of in-house roles of increasing visibility and responsibility, combined with another experience like broker/consultancy.
  • Expert knowledge of global insurance markets, international insurance programs, and captive experience.
  • A captive board position is a plus.
  • Deep experience in advising the internal organization on insurance matters.
  • Ability to think like a businessperson, to integrate insurance and business issues, and to partner with business leaders.
  • Fluent English is a must.
