Join our Digital Solutions team in Basel to help develop and evolve a modern web platform for innovative applications in medical technology, where AI coding agents are a natural part of the development workflow. You will work across the entire software development lifecycle, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to combine modern web technologies with sophisticated 3D applications.

Tasks

  • Design and develop secure, scalable and stable Java web APIs using Spring Boot.
  • Develop modern web applications using Angular, TypeScript and WebGL/3D technologies.
  • Translate business and clinical requirements into clear and practical technical solutions.
  • Use AI coding agents in daily work, review and validate their output, and build guardrails, tests and review practices to keep AI-generated code secure and maintainable.
  • Contribute to system architecture and technical direction across complex distributed systems.
  • Ensure high standards of quality and security through unit testing, automated end-to-end testing and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and contribute to continuous improvement of products and engineering practices.

Requirements

  • University degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or comparable education.
  • Solid experience in Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web technologies such as HTML and CSS/SCSS.
  • Experience with Angular and ideally WebGL or other 3D technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with AI coding agents and LLM-based development tools is an advantage.
  • Experience with agile software development, e.g. Scrum, Test-Driven Development and Continuous Integration.
  • Experience in 3D voxel modelling or rendering algorithms is a plus.
  • Analytical, structured and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to translate clinical and business needs into practical technical solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in an interdisciplinary environment.
  • Fluent in English or German, both spoken and written.
