You will support the QA topic of facility operation as well as pest control within the CPC (Contamination Prevention & Control) department at one of the largest biologics manufacturing sites in the world, where reliable utility systems, robust facility interfaces, and effective pest control are critical enablers of contamination prevention, GMP compliance, and reliable manufacturing operations. In this senior role, you will connect utilities, infrastructure, and pest control with the broader contamination prevention and control framework. You will help ensure that site utility systems, infrastructure interfaces, construction interfaces, pest control activities, and GMP facility interfaces remain compliant, reliable, inspection-ready, and aligned with the sustained state of control expected across the Visp site.

Tasks

  • Support the QA Facility operation and pest control topic within the CCS framework, providing senior technical direction, risk-based guidance, and practical quality decisions across the Visp site.
  • Ensure QA oversight for site utility systems, facility operation, pest control, construction interfaces, and GMP facility interfaces, with focus on microbial contamination and cross-contamination prevention, GMP compliance, and inspection readiness.
  • Own QA governance for facility operation and pest control topics, including deviation and change review, GMP document review and approval, CAPA oversight, trend review, and quality risk assessments.
  • Act as QA subject matter expert for facility operation and pest control during customer audits, regulatory inspections, internal audits, and project reviews.
  • Provide quality oversight and guidance for new projects, facility changes, utility standards, infrastructure readiness, construction segregation, cross-contamination prevention, cleanroom interface topics, and handover into routine operations.
  • Collaborate across the CCS operating landscape, including QA Operations, QC, Hygiene, Engineering, Facilities, Utilities Operations, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Global Quality Engineering, and Global Engineering.
  • Drive continuous improvement of quality systems, inspection readiness, compliance standards, and practical GMP execution across the Visp site.

Requirements

  • Academic degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Quality or another relevant discipline.
  • Significant experience in GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing, preferably with exposure to utilities, infrastructure, facility systems, qualification, engineering, pest control, or site quality operations.
  • Strong QA experience in leading complex technical or operational topics, influencing cross-functional stakeholders, and driving risk-based decisions without direct line-management responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP requirements, quality systems, deviations, CAPAs, change controls, risk management, inspections, and audits.
  • Experience with utilities, infrastructure, pest control, facility readiness, engineering interfaces, construction interfaces, or project handover is highly desired.
  • Good understanding of contamination prevention principles, cleanroom operations, qualified utilities, GMP facility interfaces, pest control expectations, and inspection readiness.
  • Ability to translate complex technical, operational, and GMP topics into clear, risk-based decisions and pragmatic quality guidance.
  • Fluency in English is required; German is an advantage.

Benefits

  • A place in an inclusive, dynamic, and passionate team.
  • A broad and high-impact QA topic leadership scope within the contamination control strategy framework, connecting utilities, infrastructure, pest control, and site operations with contamination prevention and control.
  • An agile career and a dynamic work culture.
  • An inclusive and ethical workplace.
  • Compensation programs that recognize high performance.
  • In addition to a competitive salary, numerous lifestyle, family, and leisure benefits.
  • Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families, if needed.
