Join Julius Baer as a GPS Associate Investment Advisor, an entry-level opportunity for high-potential early-career professionals seeking to build a long-term career in private banking with the Global Products and Solutions (GPS) division. As part of the Client Coverage & Advisory team in Geneva, you will begin your career in GPS with a tailored onboarding and development approach, including rotational assignments across key teams. Over 18-24 months, you will gain hands-on experience, deepen your investment expertise, and build relationships across the division, preparing you for a successful career as an Investment Advisor with GPS.
Tasks
- Contribute directly to the Investment Advisor team, supporting client coverage and portfolio structuring tasks.
- Prepare client investment proposals and tailor portfolio and investment recommendations.
- Support client and prospect pitches, including presentations, market insights, and investment ideas.
- Develop and assess investment concepts aligned with clients’ objectives, needs, and risk profiles.
- Collaborate with specialists across asset classes and product areas.
- Provide support and work with senior investment advisors, including trade entry, account balance, and investment proposals.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
- CFA is a plus.
- 2-3 years of professional experience (including internships) in banking or asset management.
- Passion for economics and investment, with a solid theoretical understanding of asset classes and investment products.
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit – proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable taking initiative.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking abilities, capable of processing complex information quickly.
- Understanding and basic experience of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, robotics, automation, and data analytics.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Service-oriented mindset with a dedication to excellence in client support.
- Systematic, precise, and resilient working style, able to deliver quality results under tight deadlines.
- Native level in French and fluency in English; additional language(s) are an advantage.
- Eligibility to work in the country of application.
