As a Transportation Operations Coordinator, you ensure, monitor, and develop the performance of the Global Transport 3PL Replenishment Network in coordination with regional organizations. You will be part of the TMS (transport management system) roll-out program, gradually taking responsibility for transportation planning in TMS.
Tasks
- Monitor 3PL performance (Air and Ocean) and implement corrective measures when performance does not meet expectations.
- Conduct review meetings (monthly/quarterly) with main 3PLs.
- Work with 3PL suppliers to improve service quality and performance, targeting OTD 95%+ and making progress sustainable.
- Collaborate with Wakeo to provide shipment visibility for all stakeholders.
- Act as point of contact for day-to-day operational escalations within Hilti, working intensively with 3PLs for timely and correct resolution.
- Handle Airfreight and Sea freight damage and claims topics, working with Hilti Insurance and 3PLs on losses recovery.
- Roll out and implement TMS, gradually taking responsibility for transportation planning in the new TMS system, including planning, change management, and problem resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain or business, or vocational training in transportation operations (e.g. Speditions Kaufmann/Kauffrau) with 1-3 years of experience in international shipping coordination.
- Practical experience with Transportation Management System and/or ERPs.
- Knowledge of Incoterms and international shipping, with focus on Seafreight and Airfreight.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under time pressure.
- Working proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken.
- Other languages are a plus.
