Construction technology is being reinvented, and Hilti is at the centre of this shift with a growing portfolio of software products connecting jobsites, offices, teams, and tools across the entire construction lifecycle. The Software Track of Hilti's Outperformer Program is a two-year accelerated leadership traineeship designed for individuals who are technically sharp, commercially minded, internationally mobile, and curious about how software creates value in the physical world. From day one, you will carry real responsibility and have the opportunity to shape the future of construction software business leadership at Hilti.
Tasks
- Participate in a two-year program designed to build the next generation of software business leaders at Hilti.
- Be placed inside one of two business units: Construction Software or Fastening & Protection Solutions.
- For Construction Software: Complete a 12-month sales assignment to develop direct customer insight and understand business challenges addressed by software solutions, followed by three rotations of 3–6 months each across product and business teams, including an international project.
- For Fastening & Protection Solutions: Complete a 12-month product management assignment to build product understanding and market insight, followed by three rotations of 3–6 months each involving international projects.
- Work directly with customers, product teams, and business leadership across Europe and beyond.
- Receive guidance from a dedicated senior mentor and gain direct exposure to executive leadership.
- Collaborate with a peer cohort of Global Trainees across all Hilti business tracks globally.
Requirements
- You are close to graduating or have recently completed a Master's degree, likely in construction management, civil engineering, or mechanical engineering with a focus on construction, but degrees in Computer Science or Business with Software elements and an affinity with construction are also considered.
- You are willing and able to relocate internationally, multiple times (global mobility).
- You are a global thinker keen for diverse cultural experiences.
- You have a digital and AI orientation, think natively in digital workflows, are comfortable with software tools, and know the power and potential of AI.
- You are fluent in English and/or German, Dutch, French, Spanish or Italian.
- You have commercial instinct and are drawn to how businesses grow, how customers make decisions, and how products create value.
- You have low ego, high drive, seek feedback, move fast, and are energised by ambiguity.
- You are at the start of your career and have a maximum of three years of junior work experience.
- For non-EU / EFTA citizens: Please state your eligibility status to work in EU or UK countries and note that if you do not own a valid work permit, Hilti cannot guarantee final employment due to authority regulations.
