This position reports to the Program Director NewGen PA and leads the Tier 2 Architecture end-to-end Business Solution Design, coordinating development and implementation at the multinational, regional, or global function level using ABB and/or third-party resources.

• Lead project execution in accordance with company procedures, relevant cybersecurity regulations and standards, project objectives, applicable quality standards, safety requirements, and cost and scheduling targets.
• Apply project management processes as applicable.
• Lead the team allocated to the project, define main guidelines, allocate project tasks, and motivate and monitor internal and/or external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones.
• Coach, develop, and provide feedback to individuals allocated to managed projects.
• Provide input to the NewGen Resource Manager to support short-term and longer-term development planning for ABB employees.
• Ensure projects follow sound methodology and execution practices in accordance with standard ABB internal directives and procedures, as described in the NewGen PMO Handbook and governed under the ABB Gate Model.
• Keep up to date and informed about any changes in strategy and be consulted regarding any activities or other projects that have, or might have, a major impact on the project.
• Develop and gain approval for a business case defining the value proposition of the project.
• Develop a project charter and a project plan (within MS Project) describing how the project will be executed, for communication to project team members and key stakeholders, approval, and as the basis for execution.
• Organize, monitor, and control activities to ensure the effective achievement of planned stage gates and efficient utilization of available resources.
• Monitor and control project costs and financials.
• Identify, contain, and reduce risks and ensure that all opportunities are captured and acted upon.
• Formalize acceptance of the project and conclude all project activities.
• Prepare handover documentation and training.
• Manage consultancy partners and solution integrators.
• Plan and track all project activities, establish scheduling risks and opportunities, and deliver projects on time according to commitments.
• Serve as the key contact for project stakeholders and an escalation point for project issues.
• Communicate appropriate information to stakeholders in a timely and effective manner to achieve the desired understanding and support.
• Develop dedicated stakeholder management and change management plans and apply best practices in change management.
• Develop and manage team members through formal and informal mentoring and coaching.
• Ensure, in collaboration with the NewGen Resource Manager, appropriate qualification levels of the selected team members.
• Lead project team members to achieve project requirements, deliver agreed deliverables, and meet the committed project result.
• In collaboration with the NewGen PMO, identify and plan all document deliverables required by the contractual scope of work and incorporate this plan into the overall project plan/schedule.
• Track document progress and follow up on overdue comments from the NewGen PMO and Gate Assessors.
